CNC: Aluminum Bridgeport Knob

The images above on the left show the finished CNC milled knob. The images above on the right show SolidWorks renderings of the knob that have been captured in Keyshot. 
This animated gif's above show the method that was used to separate the knob from the base material. The knob itself lacked parallel surfaces for proper clamping, which forced me to seek an alternate method of removing my base material. I chose to hold the base material in a four jaw chuck on a metal lathe, and part the knob off.

The image below shows the knob installed on a Bridgeport mill, located in the Rhode Island School of Design metal shop, where it is intended to stay.
